For many years the one fashion conundrum I have faced is not being able to find the perfect nude. When shopping I am always in search of undergarments or heels that matched my skin tone however all I come across are cream and beige tones.
After speaking with a few of my friends in the fashion industry that work in merchandising they say the lack of diversity in the fashion industry boils down to supply and demand. It is disheartening to feel like you don’t fit in with the status quo but there are many companies that are putting in the effort to make sure diversity and inclusion efforts are felt.
Diversity and Inclusion spans pass the workplace or sport teams. It matters in fashion too. From a marketing perspective all skin tones and races should be represented because we are consumers as well.
With this recent renaissance of redefining what the “flesh tone” or “nude” definition is in fashion I have compiled a few of my favorite pieces below!
Pantyhose
Nude Barre is revolutionary! They are the first hosiery company to offer 12 inclusive shades from fair tones to beautiful warm brown tones. I wear shade Cocoa for reference. Use code ‘AMW15 ‘ for 15 % off of your first order.

Undershirts and body suits
Undergarments
I have fallen in love with this bra & panty set from Victoria Secret because it is the perfect shade of brown for my skin-tone. I love this set so much I have purchased multiples of each! I have linked additional options below if you like a bra that is lightly lined instead of padded.

A Budget friendly option that comes in a beautiful taupe and cocoa from Target
Heels- Wearing a flesh tone heel provides a sexy illusion that the leg is slimmer and longer– Perfect for when you are wearing dresses, skirts or shots. The heel I am wearing below is called the Madison heel by Banana Republic . I have also linked a strappy heel and sling back. Each come in 4 beautiful shades from taupe to dark brown.

Makeup- My favorite lip shades
My two favorite neutral shades are Primordial and low- cut
This list will be growing as I come across more inclusive brands. Be sure to subscribe to the email list so that you can stay in the loop with the Amwstyled updates.
